Art pieces by seven Italian artists are represented at the art exhibition, “Confluences: Intersectional Visions of Italy,” on display through April 7, 2024 at the Georgetown University Art Galleries.
The exhibition explores issues of social justice connected to notions of Italy, a far more complex subject than the common notions of the country as a single culture, politically and socially.

Curated by Ilaria Conti, the show was organized by the Italian Cultural Institute of Washington DC in collaboration with the Georgetown Art Galleries. Toni-Lee Sangastiano, an artist and associate professor at Georgetown University, designed the exhibition, and the brochure at left. Several works by Prof. Sangastiano are displayed at the Italian American Museum of Washington DC.
